It is Hamailiyya in relation to [Page 141 of the Cairo edition] To us it has a slope, so the day lengthens if the sun is in the high places where it was, and if the sun sets in the descending places the day shortens where it was, but we said where it was, for if it is long The night for us is long for the day for others, so the sun is in the high places in relation to them and in the low places in relation to us, so if the day is short for us, the night is long for them, as we mentioned, and the day is the day itself, twenty-four hours, neither longer nor shorter, nor longer nor shorter in the place of equinox, for this is the reality of the day, then We may call the day alone a day by convention, so understand [ Time and Divine Affairs ] God has made this time, which is the night and the day, a day, and time is the day and the night. And the day exist in time. He made them a father and a mother for what God spoke to them, as He said, “The night covers the day,” like His saying about Adam. And when the day covered her, she became pregnant. If the night covered the day, the night was the father and the day was the mother. Everything that God spoke during the day became like the children that a woman gives birth to, and if the day covers the night, The day is the father and the night is the mother, and all the affairs that God brings about during the night are like the children that a mother gives birth to.
