[ The world is a dream that must be interpreted and a bridge that must be crossed ]

The common people do not normally know sleep except what is customary to be called sleep and then wake up. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, even stated that a person is in a dream as long as he is in this worldly life until he wakes up in the afterlife, and death is the first state of the afterlife, so God believed him in what he said in His Almighty saying, and among His signs is your sleep at night, which is normal sleep, and during the day, and it is this dream that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, declared. Peace and blessings of God be upon him, and for this reason he made the world an example, a bridge that crosses, that is, it crosses just as the vision that a person sees in his sleep expresses it. Just as what the dreamer sees in his sleep is what he wants for himself, but it is what he wants for someone else, so he passes from that visible image in the state of sleep to its intended meaning in the waking world. He wakes up from his sleep. This is also the condition of a person in this world, what is required for this world. Everything he sees of the state, words and deeds in this world is what is required for the afterlife. There, what he saw in this world will pass and appear to him, just as what he saw in a dream appears to him if he wakes up. The world is a bridge that he crosses and does not survive like a human being. In the event that what he sees in his sleep, he passes over and does not live, then when he wakes up he does not find anything of what he saw, whether good or evil, homes, buildings, travel, good or bad conditions, so the knower must express it to him.
