As a veil, we say that the ba'dah in Surat al-Rum is eight, and take the number of the letters of the letter al-m in the small jazm, so it is eight, and add them to eight, the ba'dah, so it becomes sixteen, then you remove the one that is for the alif of the pas, so there are fifteen left, so you keep it with you, then you return to working on that with the big camel, which is the jazm, and multiply the eight of the ba'dah. In seventy-one, and make all of that years, the multiplication produces for you five hundred and sixty-eight, then you add to it the fifteen that I commanded you to take, and it becomes five hundred and eighty-three years, which is the time when Bayt al-Maqdis was opened according to the recitation of whoever recited. The Romans were defeated by opening the ghān and the lam. They will prevail by adding the ya’ and opening the lam, and in the year eighty-three. Five hundred was the appearance of the Muslims in undertaking the Hajj of the infidels, which is the conquest of Jerusalem. We have in the knowledge of numbers through the revealing of wondrous secrets, through what is required by nature and through the divine truths it possesses, and if we live a long time, I will devote a book to finding out the number, God willing. Let us return to what we were about to say. The servant of God will not complete the secrets contained in the branches of faith unless he knows the facts of these letters according to their repetition in the surahs. Likewise, if he knows them without repetition, he will know that God has alerted them to the truth of creation and uniqueness.
