The circumference, and the turn returned to its beginning, so there are only four points, east, west, equator, and perigee, four quarters, and the four is a surrounding number because it is the sum of the simple ones, just as these knots are the sum of the numerical components, even if there are two, which is the ba in the juzmin and the kaf and the ra in the small juzm. And the testimony stands for its secrets in that it is unseen and testimony and nothing else, which is the essence and the attributes in the divine, the cause and the effect in the natural, not in the rational, and the condition and the conditional in the rational and legal, not in the natural, but in the divine, even if there are three, which is the jīm with the Jazmin, the Lām, and the Sīn neglected according to some people, and the lexical Shin according to some people with the Jazm. I made the small jīm from you your world and met with it the world of kingship from its being kingship and the world of tyranny from its being tyranny and the world of kingdom from its being a kingdom. And with what is in the jīm from the small number it emerges from you and from what is in it and in the lam and sīn or shin from the large number the faces of what is required emerge. Whoever brings a good deed will receive ten times it. And God multiplies for whom He wills according to preparation and the lowest degree [Page 81 of the Cairo edition] which includes the common people.
