He approaches with burning energy to his origin to bestow upon him from his knowledge what is his habit, and when he emerges , a light emerges to be illuminated by it. To Him by His servitude ]
So the example of one who enters that exalted state by his lordship is like one who enters with a burning lamp, and the example of one who enters by His servitude is like one who enters with a wick in which there is no light or with a handful of hashish in which there is an unburned fire. So if they enter in this state, a breath from the Most Merciful will be bestowed upon them. Then the gust extinguished the lamp and the grass ignited, so the owner of the lamp went out in darkness, and the owner of the weed went out in light seeking illumination, so see what preparedness gave him. Every person fleeing from there is only afraid for his lamp to be extinguished. He fears for his lordship that it will disappear, so he flees to the place of its manifestation, but he does not go out unless his lamp is extinguished, even if He went out with a stove just as he entered, and that gust did not affect him, so he would truly claim divinity, but from God’s protection for him, that was the case. Whoever enters a slave does not fear, and if his wick is lit there, he will know who lit it and see the blessing on him, Glory be to Him, for that, so he will emerge as an enlightened slave, as God Almighty said. Glory be to Him who took His servant captive, meaning A slave went out to his nation, calling to God by His permission and an illuminating lamp, just as he entered as a humble slave, knowing what he entered and upon whom he entered. So whoever God Almighty grants him success and adheres to his servitude in all his circumstances, and if he knows his origin, then [Page 277 of the Cairo edition] the origin closest to him, his mother’s side, is preferred . p
