Righteous, this is the righteousness that the prophets desired, may God’s prayers be upon them. So whoever has no defect in his truthfulness is righteous, nor in his testimony is righteous, nor in his prophecy is righteous, and man is his true potential, so he has the right to pray for righteousness to be attained for him in the place in which it is due to the possibility of a defect entering. He is in his position, because if the Prophet were a prophet for himself or for his humanity, then every human being would have that status, since the reason for his being a prophet is his being a human being. Since the matter is a divine prerogative, it is permissible for a defect to enter into it and it is permissible to remove it. It is correct for the righteous person to call upon the righteous to be made among the righteous, that is, those whose righteousness does not enter into a period of time.
