God Almighty said: Did He not find you an orphan and take refuge, and find you lost and guide you? And He said, “And as for the one who asks, do not give up.” Meaning, the one who asks for knowledge: A person gives knowledge in charity to the people of God who are his family. Wisdom should not be transgressed by its people, and he should count that charity in the sight of God, that is, he does not see any merit in it. On the one who knows him and does not advance, this calls for service from him in politeness, veneration, and subservience in return for what is better for him. If he does that, it will not be counted in the sight of God, and we have met elders on that, and it is our path, and the Sharia has warned against it in the knowledge of drawings and its scholar.

Knowledge is two types of knowledge: gifted and acquired. Gifted knowledge has no balance. Acquired knowledge is what is obtained from piety and good deeds, and its intervention is balancing and determining. Every piety and specific work has a special knowledge that is only for him. There are those who fear God for God, and those who fear God for Hell, and those who fear God for Satan, and those who fear God for Satan. He fears God for those who do not fear God, and every piety has a special action and a special knowledge that comes to him who has this piety

A man’s spending on himself for which he has charity is what he nourishes him with from these acquired knowledge that provide him with eternal life in this world and the afterlife. This is because every good deed is charity and the people of goodness in this world are the people of goodness in the hereafter. There is no good except God and there are no people except the people of God.

The advisor himself is the one who protects his honor, for it is part of his alms towards himself and the protection of his honor that no tongue of condemnation comes upon him from the side of truth and nothing else, so he is praised by the tongue of the law and by every divine tongue of angels, animals, plants, minerals, astronomy, and everything except the two great things and some of the two great things. Is it imaginable that he protects his honor? Of all the weighty things, this is inconceivable because the origin, which is God, did not remain his width from the tongues of his creation, except that it can be raised above the width, and if it is possible, then he has protected himself, which is his width, from having an effect on himself, not that he has protected his width from being said about him, which is the meaning of his saying, “And what have you spent?” Of something, he replaces it.

If he spends, I wish I were glorified in the tongues of creation. For what he spent, I seek to return the praise to God in that He is God’s servant. If he spends in this regard and does not see that he is the spender and he spent in disobedience to Satan and does not see infallibility and spending except from the hand of God, then such a person is excluded in every case. Spending, if this is his condition and taste, he will not find reward for the one who returns it except to his giver. So God’s hand is spending and the Most Merciful’s hand is taking from it.

If a person was in the position of freedom, he would only be witnessed by notable Gentiles, because by their witnesses, freedom from them is proven while he is in this state. Absent from his servitude and servitude together, for the position of servitude is more honorable than the position of freedom in the right of man, and servitude is more honorable than slavery.
