As for deliberately abandoning what God has commanded him to do, there is no ruling on him, for he is among those whom God has led astray with knowledge, so he must embrace a new Islam, for he is open, and this cannot happen from one who took his knowledge of God from taste and revelation, but rather this happens from one who took his knowledge from God. Based on evidence and consideration, he says, “All movements and pauses are in the hand of God.” He did not put it in me to perform what He commanded me to perform. He says, and in truth, he is the one who commands, the hearer, and the one being addressed, so he has insight. It is of no use.
