On it in its descent when it was revealed, and according to the attribute upon which the heart is taken as a throne for the Qur’an to be established upon it, the Qur’an appears in that attribute in its revelation, and that is in the case of some of the following, and in the case of some of them, the attribute is for the Qur’an, so the throne of the heart appears by it when it is descended upon it. Al-Junaid, may God be pleased with him, was asked about Knowledge and the knower. So he said, “The color of the water is the color of its vessel.” If a knower were asked about the Qur’an and the heart revealed to it, he would give an answer similar to this .

And know that God described the Throne with what He described in the Qur’an, so the Qur’an came absolutely, without restriction, and the Throne was mentioned absolutely, without restriction. So the absolute Qur’an is for the absolute Throne, or the absolute Throne is for the absolute Qur’an, according to what the witnesses find of the influencer and the one influencing it, and the Throne is restricted by what the Qur’an has restricted, so the Qur’an. Great for a great throne, and a Noble Qur’an for a Noble Throne, and a Glorious Qur’an for a Glorious Throne. Every Qur’an rests on its Throne with the attribute that unites them, so every heart has a Qur’an according to its attribute, the renewer of revelation, not the renewer of the eye. The lofty ranks are to the Possessor of the Throne, like verses and surahs to the Qur’an. As for the Absolute Qur’an, it is like His saying, the month of Ramadan, in which the Qur’an and the Absolute Throne were revealed. In His saying, “He is exalt
