And know that no prophet ever before his prophecy had any rational consideration of knowledge of God, and he should not do that. Likewise, every chosen guardian has no rational consideration of knowledge of God, and whoever of the saints before him has knowledge of God from an intellectual point of view, then even if he is a guardian, then he is not a chosen one. Nor is he among those to whom God has bequeathed the Divine Book. The reason for this is that his consideration of God restricts him to something that distinguishes him from all other matters, and he is not able to attribute the generality of existence to God. He has nothing but abstract transcendence. If he contracts it, then everything that comes to him from his Lord is contrary to his contract, then he rejects it and criticizes the evidence that supports it.
