The soul, from this, has the right to utter the remembrance of God. As for God’s closeness to him, it is of two types. The one type is closeness of mercy, compassion, transcendence, forgiveness, and benevolence. The other type is closeness that cannot be revealed, but we point to it. So we say that the truth is not without every servant when it is revealed to him, that it may appear to him in matter or in non-materiality. If it is revealed to him in Matter, which is the image, follows proximity to that matter in the gathering of witnesses and the presence of the vision, and if it appears to him in other than matter, it is nearness in status and rank, such as the closeness of a minister, a judge, a governor, and a possessor of sense to the king, for it is a differential closeness, and the lowest seat may come close to his left with an order to be executed in his rank, and the highest seat may be further away from him in that council. His proximity in that assembly does not necessitate that he is of a higher rank than the one who is higher than him,
