Knowledge is what describes the knower, not the known. Likewise, arrogance is described by whoever is described as knowledgeable. Pride is one of its effects in the heart of this person. This is why pride has been mentioned as my cloak. It is a veil between the servant and the truth. It prevents the servant from knowing the essence of the one who is apostate by it, which is himself, so it is better for him to know his Lord. Despite this, greatness is not added except to someone who does not wear it, for it is a strange state, and so is greatness, for Truth is not an attribute of Him, neither intrinsic nor moral, for it is impossible for Himself to have the attributes of meanings in them, and it is impossible for Him to be a psychological attribute for the sake of what has been reported of creation denying Him in His manifestation despite His being Him.
