Regarding this thought, it occurred to him that what is permissible includes abandoning a recommended or obligatory duty that he imposes upon himself, such as someone who vowed to fast on a specific day, and he has the right, if he wishes, to fast it on this day, and it is an obligatory fast, but not on this day, and it is necessary even if he fasts it on this day.
