And know that the conditions of khila are not valid between the believers nor between the Prophet and his followers. If their conditions are not valid, they are not valid in themselves, but in the house of assignment. The Prophet and the believer are by the rule of God, not by the rule of his friend, nor by the rule of himself. Among the conditions of khila is that the friend be by the rule of his friend, and this is inconceivable.
