The beginning of the guidance is that the servant says, “I have directed my face,” so the servant added the face to himself on the authority of his Lord’s law for him, in which he has good manners with God in his presence, with the truth that it is his tongue with which he speaks, and he called him to this addition, the Almighty’s saying, “Between me and my servant,” so prove it. Rather, it is in fact attached to his master, for the servant is a scholar. The knower is the face of his master, as nothing should be added to the servant, for he is the one who is added and is not added to him. If the master adds himself to him, then he is on the side of honor and definition, like his saying, “And your God” and the like, and he added the act of directing to himself because he knows that God has added the work to the servant, so he said, “The servant says.” Praise be to God, and words are deeds, for the world is always following the truth .
