The scholars agreed in the Sharia that tayammum is a substitute for the minor purity, but they differed regarding the major purity, and we do not say that it is a substitute for anything. Rather, we say that it is a legitimate purity specific to the conditions considered by the Sharia, for there is no law reported from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, nor from the Mighty Book that tayammum Instead, there is no difference between tayammum and every lawful purity.
