And if they speak out loud, then pardon out of honor *** And if they conceal the blame from you, you will not suffer

For what harms you is listening to him *** And what was said behind you did not say so

Then, behold, He who has enmity between you and him is as if he were a close friend, and none will receive it except those who are patient, and none will receive it except those with great luck. Beware of showing off, and raise your dress above your ankle or to half your shin

It was narrated on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said the believer’s loincloth should reach half of his shin

Your shortening of the dress is truly *** purer, more lasting, and more pious .
