Blindness is different from blindness in the ruling, unless the blindness gives darkness, so there is no difference between it and blindness. If it goes beyond the limit of darkness to the point of blindness, then the condition of its owner may be better than the condition of the person with the darkness and than the condition of the blind. Some of them said to Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and between us and you is a veil. And it is the concealment, so work. Indeed, we are working, i.e. work, in removing that. Their saying, “We are working in removing that,” is plausible with regard to those whose truth is presumed to be true for them. They admitted that their hearts were hidden in what he was calling them to, but they did not deny his saying, nor did they reject it, as others believed who did not say that. I do not know what the matter ended with. These people are in my place of hope, for we know with certainty that the Messenger is working to lift the veil

The greatest veils are two veils, a moral veil, which is ignorance, and a sensory veil, which is you over yourself. As for the greatest moral veil,

The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said when he was captured in a tree in which there was a bird’s nest, so Gabriel sat in the one den and the Messenger of God sat. God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in the end, when they reached the lowest heaven, something like a fluttering pearl and a ruby hung down to them, and that was a kind of manifestation of the truth. He, peace be upon him, said: As for Gabriel, he fainted because he knew what had been revealed to him. As for the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he remained as he was because he did not know what it was. He had no authority over him, so when Gabriel told him when he woke up that it was the truth, he said, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “At that time, I learned of his superiority.”
