I knew I had thought *** but I did not understand

What God means In it *** because I did not bear witness

Islam is revealed *** by saying, “I have submitted”

With him from every evil *** through him also I was blessed

and hidden faith *** but I did not conceal

And Ihsan I see as a simile, so I said

Exalted be He above my witnesses *** because I was ignorant

that the truth was in it *** and what I truly intended

And my knowledge is my witness *** that I have witnessed
