Know, may God help you, that seventy-one thousand years of the years known in this world have passed in the life of the natural world, restricted by time and confined to space, and this period is eleven days from days other than this name, and from the days of Dhul-Ma’raj one day and five days, and in these days the distinction takes place. God Almighty said. On a day the length of which was fifty thousand years, and he said, “And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.” So the smallest days are what we count as the movement of the surrounding sphere in whose day night and day appear. The shortest day according to the Arabs is this for the largest sphere, and that is because of His ruling on what is in its interior of the spheres, since it was a movement of some kind. Without it, at night and day, it is a forced movement that subjugates all the spheres that surround it.
