The command to unite God does not include the unification of truth itself, and tradition in monotheism is related to it, because the matter is not related to the one to whom the evidence is given, unless the matter is related to inference, not definition, by way of submission, or inference by pointing out the place of evidence, such as his saying, “Then every god would go with what He created.” And like His saying, “If there had been among them gods other than God, they would have been corrupted,” and like His saying, “He did not beget, nor was He begotten.” Among the chapters of this verse is His saying, “He the Most High did not take a companion or a child due to lack of competence, since He had no one equal to Him.” If competence were present, this would be permissible.
