Know, may God help you to accept, that lights are of two types: original lights and lights generated from the darkness of the universe, such as the light of the Almighty’s saying, and a sign for them: “The night We separate the day from it, and behold, they are in darkness,” and as in His Almighty’s saying: “He separated the morning and made the night a resting place” for looking at that and among other verses. That is, He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility. To it so that light has birth, and the light spoken of in this house is the temporal generating light, and this house is specific to the one imam of the two imams of the pole, and he is called the servant of his Lord, and sometimes this light is male and sometimes it is female, so if the night overtakes the day, then what is generated from it is the desired light, and this is the generating light that We have prescribed it as the light of infallibility for the Prophet and protection
