Al-Rahmani, and they are the words of truth, just as God breathed on Yunus when he came out of the belly of the whale, so he treated his people as he treated them, in that he revealed the torment from them after they had seen it descend upon them, so they believed. God pleased him with his nation, so its faith benefited them, and he did not do that with a nation before it, since his anger was for God and for Him. And he thought that his Lord would not put him in distress, and so he did, so God relieved him after the distress so that he might know the extent of what God had bestowed upon him in taste, as was said.
