From the soul of the Most Merciful, which is His saying, and they disbelieve in the Most Merciful. Say, “He is my Lord, there is no god but Him. In Him I put my trust, and to Him is my return.” This is the unification of return, which is the unification of identity. He informed that they disbelieve in the Most Merciful because they made this name since it was not with them and they had not heard of it before this. So when It was said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Merciful.” They said, “What is the Most Merciful?” And this name increased their aversion, for they only know God. They worship associates in order to bring them closer to God. And when they were told, “Worship God,” they did not say, “What is God?” Rather, they denied His monotheism. It has been reported that they knew Him as a compound of the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful, by one name, such as Baalbek and Ram. Hormuz, when he singled him out and without a lineage, they denied him, for it is said in lineage, “Al
