Honesty is intensity and firmness in religion, and zeal for God is one of its conditions and for its owner, through which action is achieved with determination, which is the strength of faith. It was said to Abu Yazid, “What is the greatest name of God by which things are moved?” He said, “Show me the smallest, so that I can show you the greatest. It is nothing but honesty. I am truest, and take any name you want. The names of God are all great.” God Almighty said, “And those who believe have a stronger love for God,” that is, a more sincere love for God than the polytheists’ love for those whom they make partners with, and “the truthful” is one of His names. And God Almighty said, “that He will question the truthful about their sincerity,” and for this reason He has the claim .
