He said that and did not say those are the verses of the Book. The Book is for the plural and the verses are for the division, and that is masculine singular and that is singular and feminine. So God Almighty indicated by that Book first the existence of the plural in the first place before the difference. Then He created the difference in the verses just as He combined the whole number into one as we presented it. So if we drop it, the reality of that number ceases to exist. The Alif has left a trace in existence, and if we highlight it, the Alif has emerged in existence. Look at this wondrous power given to it by the reality of the One from whom this infinite multiplicity has emerged, and He is an individual in Himself, an entity and a name.
