The hope required of the people of God is what his time requires, because hope is non-existent in this case, so it is feared for the one who hopes that he will miss the rule of time. If his hope is attached to what he asks for time, then he must have time, and what is written in the office of one who does not discipline his time, then his time is not. It is devoid of one of three things: Either he has a satisfactory time, then his hope is dependent on what the sick time requires, and if it is not satisfactory, or neither satisfactory, nor unsatisfactory, such as what is permissible, then his hope is related to its removal from him by what is pleasing in the second breath and the time that follows.
