Some of our companions met with some Abdal during his travels, and he began to mention to him what people were facing regarding the corruption of conditions among kings, governors, and subjects. Then Al-Badal became angry and said to him, “What is the matter with you, servants of God? Do not come between the master and his servant, for mercy, forgiveness, and kindness to these people they seek. Do you want to keep divinity inactive?” The ruling: Be busy with yourself and turn away from these things, and let your gaze be on God Almighty and your preoccupation be with God .
