As for his choice of fasting

The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to someone who asked him about fasting, for there is nothing like it.

So he denied the same thing as fasting, so it is more like, “There is nothing like it,” and he said, “Fasting is for me.”

And He made all acts of worship for man, since fasting is an attribute of purity, and no purity should be performed except for Him, the Most High .
