The answer is that his nation was the best of nations and it has an increase over the prophets of the nations for following the traditions of the guidance of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. They did not follow him because they preceded him, and every nation is not confused except its prophet and we are the best. Nations, we and the prophets are involved in this charity in one path, because there is no rank between the prophet and his nation, and Muhammad is better than his nation, just as every prophet was better than his nation, so he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is the best of the prophets.
