And none other than those we have mentioned know that God created it for Him, the Almighty. Rather, they say, “He only created the world for the world, so He raised some of them above others in degrees so that some of them might treat others as mockery, and He is independent of the worlds.” This is the doctrine of a group of scholars about God, and a group of knowers said that God created mankind for Him, the Most High, and the jinn. And He created other than these two types of man, and divine news was narrated about this on the authority of Moses, may God bless him and grant him peace, that God revealed in the Torah: O son of Adam, I created things for you and I created you for my sake, so do not lose what I created for my sake in what I created for your sake.
