What most people mean when they say which name God gave the Messenger from among His names is the name that he calls for in support of his call, and it is what is expressed in the authority and miracle of its effect, and if the Prophet gave it, it is the name by which he is supported in the attainment of the prophetic rank and its validity. Each person may have a name that he gives according to what his rank requires. Of the status of his prophethood or his message, except that the bestowing name is the one that gives that, unless the status is acquired, in which case he may be given the honorable, generous, or generous name.
