Whoever remains in his state of existence with God as he was in his non-existence, then he is the one who has given God his right, and because of this incurable disease He has made it impossible for him to use a medicine. And man does not remember that We created him before, and there is nothing that says to him: Be with me in the matter of your existence as you were when you were not. I exist, so I am what I am and you are what you are. Whoever among us uses this medicine knows the truth of God and gives him what is due to him. And whoever does not know and does not use this medicine and is confused, his illnesses and pains multiply in the eyes of his joys and the truth becomes angry with him while he is joyful and pleased with it, so in some of your joys it is angry. So pay attention to the secrets in this hadith regarding this method and others like it, for it contains knowledge that the book will go on at length detailing and specifying.
