The scholars differed regarding the people of Mecca as to whether or not they should have sand if they performed Hajj. Some people said that every circumambulation before Arafat that is connected by a sa’i should be sanded during it, and some people said that it was desirable, and some of them did not see sand on them when they circumambulated the Kaaba, and this is the doctrine of Ibn Umar according to what Narrated by Malik on his authority .
