The scholars differed regarding fasting on Saturday. Some say that he fasts on Saturday, and some say that he does not fast. Know that for us Saturday is the day of eternity, the day of which has no end. So his night is in Hell, for it is black and dark, and his day is for the people of Paradise, so Paradise is bright and bright, and hunger is continuous and permanent for the people of Hell, and its opposite is for the people of Paradise. They eat out of desire, not to ward off the pain of hunger or thirst. Whoever sees arrest and fear, which are attributes of Hell, says he should fast it, because fasting is a shield, so he can avoid this matter that astonished him. It was mentioned in the book Al-Targheeb by Ibn Zangawayh on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he who fasts a day for the sake of God sent after him God from the Fire seventy autumns
