The scholars differed regarding fasting on Friday. Some say that he dislikes fasting it, and some say that he dislikes fasting it unless he fasts before or after it.

Muslim narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “He should not fast.” One of you on Friday unless he fasts before it or fasts after it.

Al-Bukhari narrated on the authority of Juwayriyah bint Al-Harith that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered upon her on Friday while she was fasting and said: Did you fast yesterday? She said: No. He said: Do you want to fast tomorrow? She said: No. He said: Then break your fast
