They are unanimously agreed that the fasting person must abstain from food, drink, and sexual intercourse, and this decree is what is mentioned in the text of the Book in the Almighty’s saying: “So now be intimate with them... and eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread.”
