If deeds and deeds are not attributed to God, then they are far from God, so zakat is due on them, and God has the right to return them to Him, Glory be to Him. If they are returned to Him, they acquire the garb of goodness, so it is said that God’s deeds are all good, and zakat is obligatory for the Mu’tazili in terms of his belief that He created the deeds of His servants for them, and for Al-Ash’ari it is obligatory. He must pay zakat to add his earnings at work to himself .
