It may also be tinged with contempt for someone who gives for the sake of God and takes with the hand of God. I saw some of God’s people, in my opinion, for I do not purify anyone before God, as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us and did, and God forbade us from that. A poor person asked a person to give him charity. So the responsible man took out a bundle containing pieces of silver, large and small, so he began searching it with his hand. The righteous man looked at him, then turned his face to me and said to me, “Learn who this charitable person is searching for.” I said, “No.” He said, “According to his status with God, he gives to whom God has permitted.” If he sees a large piece, he adjusts it. About her, he said, “This amount is not worth anything to God until he reached for the smallest piece he found and gave it to the beggar, and the righteous man said, ‘This is your value to God .’”
