In both cases, the hands are the place of grasping and giving. They hold what they take and give, so they have the right to grasp what they take and extend what they give. The servant raises his hands outstretched so that God may place in them whatever blessings he asked for. If he raises them and places their bellies to the ground and raises them, he bears witness to the elevation and exaltation of the hands of my Lord Almighty. Which is the upper hand, and His hands are spread out. He spends as He pleases, and He places the caller with the insides of His hands to the ground for rain, that is, send down upon us from the goodness and blessings that You have in Your hands, with which You cover our poverty and our want, which You have attached to the causes, so unite them to You and empty them with the rain You send down for them.
