Know that death is two deaths, an original death, not an advanced life, in what is described as death, which is the Almighty’s saying, “How can you disbelieve in God when you were dead?” This is the original death, which is the nothingness that is possible, since God was known to the eye and did not exist in himself. Then the Almighty said, “And He gave you life.” And accidental death, which is what happens to a living person and takes away his life, and this is the Almighty’s saying: “Then He will cause you to die.”
