Lying based on suspicion is not one of those who deliberately lie, and it is better to abandon it if it is known that it is suspicion, for it is not called suspicion except because it resembles the truth in one way and resembles falsehood in a way. So it is better to refrain from such a thing unless it is associated with avoiding harm or obtaining a religious benefit or Worldly lies, unlike pure lying, which is a curse, and no rational person would do it at all. As for lying, which is equivalent to istihaadah blood, it is considered righteousness of religion for the righteousness of this world.
