There is nothing in existence except God, and no one knows God except God. From this truth, he who said, “I am God,” said Abu Yazid, “Glory be to Me,” like other men of God of the past, and it is one of the ramifications of their sayings, may God be pleased with them. Whoever reaches confusion from the two groups has arrived, except that our companions today find Extreme pain, as they are not able to send what He should have sent, Glory be to Him, just as You sent the prophets, peace be upon them. How great are these manifestations? Rather, what prevented them from calling it what the revealed books and the messengers, peace be upon them, called it, was the lack of fairness to the listeners, jurists, and those in authority, for what they rush to do in declaring whoever does the same as what they said to be infidels.
