There is no abode of joy, so whoever knows it does not rejoice in prosperity and does not grieve because of misery. Indeed, God created this world as a place of calamity and the Hereafter as a place to follow, so He made the calamity of this world a reason for the reward of the Hereafter, and the reward of the Hereafter is from the calamity of this world as a substitute. He takes in order to give and is afflicted in order to reward, and it is quick to go away and imminent to change, so beware of the sweetness of her breastfeeding because of the bitterness of weaning her.
