And you must be modest, for God is modest, and modesty is part of faith, and modesty is all good, and God will be ashamed of one who has gray hair on the Day of Resurrection. If a servant is characterized by modesty before God, he will leave everything that displeases God and what disgraces him in the sight of God Almighty and with the Messenger of God, may God bless him. And modesty means abandonment. God said, “He leads astray by it,” that is, by this proverb he guides many by it, but He does not lead astray by it. Except the transgressors, for they were confused in it and misguidance and bewilderment, and they saw the glory of God, His majesty, His pride, and the insignificance of the gnat in the creatures, so
