Do you not see that if a person approaches his companion to his words and listens to someone else, he shames him, and if he makes him ashamed, why, O you who are his gossip, and the easiest thing for his gossip is to cut him off in the place where he needs it. He said, sitting with the messengers is by following them, and sitting with the truth is by listening to what he says, for he is the speaker who is not permissible.
