For him, the sight or necessity of heaven is the sign of faith, and if his lie causes him to be slandered, then the information is a test and criterion to which truthful traces and shining lights attest. If absolute faith gave happiness, the believer in falsehood would be among the greatest of His servants. Whoever believes in falsehood that it is false is a state of not being idle, for him is the greatest happiness and abundant knowledge. The most complete, for knowledge of nothing does not necessitate belief in it and knowledge of everything. Do you not see that He has added to that a ruling on His command? And say, “My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” And what has increased it is nothing but attachment to what it is, that which is known and verified .
