Know, may God support us and you with what He supported them with of the Holy Spirit, that God has servants whose conditions and actions are a remembrance by which one draws closer to God and results from knowledge of God what only those who have tasted it know. So whoever confines himself to this remembrance will join them, for it is everything that God commanded his Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And God Almighty, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade it. He was the same as their conditions and actions, despite the fact that this group to whom this Qur’an was revealed were among the companions of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and they did not achieve what they achieved except by following him and understanding what they understood about him. Despite this, God Almighty blamed His Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, even among them.
