It is witnessed by the intellects. Just as there is not a single thing in the information that is hidden from Him, but rather everything of Him is witnessed, likewise what is unseen to His creation, neither in the state of their non-existence nor in the state of their existence, but rather it is witnessed to them by the qualities of appearance and hiddenness of the visions and the seeing, except that it is not necessary to be witnesses. Knowing that it is that which is sought, except by God informing Him and making it necessary knowledge in the servant’s soul, that it is like what a sleeping person finds if he sees the image of the Messenger or the Most High Truth in sleep and finds in himself for no apparent reason that that visible thing is the Messenger if he is the Messenger or the Truth if he is the Truth and that.
