Daughter of Muhammad, look at yourself. I am of no use to you before God. He said something similar to this to all those closest to him. His uncle Abu Lahab was present, so he blew on his hand and said, “What happened with our hands is nothing of what he said,” and Abu Lahab spoke the truth, for God’s warning did not benefit him, nor did any of it enter his heart. He intended misery for him, so God sent down Abu Lahab’s hands to repent, and he repented as long as his wealth availed him and what he earned.

For he was dependent on his money, so whoever relies on other than God in his affairs will lose, and those who say the reasons, if they rely on them and abandon reliance on God, will succeed. And if they establish the reasons and rely on God and do not go beyond the status in which God has sent them down, then those are the great men of God who are not distracted by trade or sale from the remembrance of God, and the truth is proven to them in manhood in this place, and w
